Marcela Solana (MARCH) | b.1988 Guadalajara, Mexico

Marcela Solana is a Mexican artist known for her playful use of acrylics. Born in Guadalajara in 1988, when she discovered her artistic abilities she made it her mission to inspire & spread color through her art. She combines an array of aesthetics and techniques to create bold and almost hypnotic works, by portraying intricate images in this particular style.

Her collections Release, The Aftermath and Word to The Wise are her most personal and raw artworks yet; artworks which are based on her most turbulent and her darkest experience which she is opening about for the first time in her first memoir Entrégala a la Bestia.

Her career grew rapidly after her first solo exhibition in 2018 in her hometown of Guadalajara, taking her to exhibit her work not only nationally but internationally in countries like France, Switzerland, United States, Monaco, Japan and Spain. She is recipient of  a bronze medal by the Mérite et Dévouement Français. Marcela has also been featured in multiple publications including British GQ, Vanity Fair, Elle Decoration, The World of Interiors UK and, House and Garden Magazine among many others.
